Abstract:
PURPOSE: To estimate inflation pressure with a sufficient frequency even when a vehicle travels on a good road such as an expressway.
CONSTITUTION: This device has a device 12 for detecting the magnitude of vibration input from a road surface to a tire, a device 10 for determining the spring constant of the tire on the basis of a wheel speed signal when the magnitude of vibration input is within a prescribed range, and estimating the pneumatic pressure of the tire. It also has a vehicle speed detecting device 20, and a device 14 for extending the prescribed range to the side having the smaller magnitude of vibration input when the vehicle speed is high.
