Title:
TIRE LEVER FRIENDLY TO TIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008074117
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve the problem of a conventional tire that a bead must be fitted while leaving a tire lever inserted between the end of the side wall of a rim and a tire bead, and it is hard to fit the tire lever in the deepest part when fitting the bead reinforced by a wire to prevent the elongation thereof and that the end of the side wall of the rim and the tire bead are damaged when forcibly inserting the tire lever to fall it, especially air leakage is caused in the case of a tubeless tire, and that a tire tube is pierced when falling the tire lever without noticing that the tire tube is pinched between the tire lever and the end of the side wall of the rim in the case of a tire which needs the tire tube.

The tire lever for fitting each of the bead 11 and the bead 12 provided along the inner periphery of the tire 2 having a grounding surface 1 along the outer periphery thereof into the side wall 13 and the side wall 14 of the rim 3 comprises a lever body 20 stretched to pinch the rim 3 with the inside thereof and an engaging shape 22 provided near one end of the lever body 20. The rim 3 is pinched by the inside of the lever body 20, and the engaging shape 22 is engaged with the bead 12 before fitting the bead 12, and a finger is hooked on the outside of the bead 12 to fall the lever body 20 so that the engaging shape 22 comes off, thus fitting the bead 12 in the side wall 14.
