Title:
TIRE LEVER AND TIRE REMOVING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010234984
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To easily remove a bead part from a rim even in a wide-width tire or small-diameter tire.

A second portion 46 of an approximate L-shaped tire lever 40 is inserted between a lower bead part 52 and an upper rim flange 32 from a tire lower side toward an upper side, and a protrusion 48 of the second portion 46 is hooked to an upper end of a mounting head 11 so that the second portion 46 is displaced downward. When the tire lever 40 is made to stand while a first portion 42 is gripped, the second portion 46 moves upward with the protrusion as a fulcrum. A lower bead part 52 is raised upward by the second portion 46, and the lower bead part 52 is removed to the upper side of an upper rim flange 32. When the rim is rotated by a tire changer 10, the mounting head 11 relatively moves the rim flange sequentially in a peripheral direction. Thereby, the lower bead part is entirely removed to the upper side of the rim flange 32, and the tire 50 is completely removed from the rim 30.
