Abstract:

To infer the load exerted on tires, at low cost and with high accuracy.

A tire pressure control apparatus 10 of a vehicle 1 comprise a compressor 14 for adjusting the tire pressure, by changing the amount of air in a tire of each wheel 4, an exhaust valve 26, an air control valve 30, a tire pressure adjusting unit 34, and an ECU 50. The ECU 50 functions as a load infer means for estimating the load exerted on the tire and sets the tire pressure of each tire to be a first pressure P1, then sets the tire pressure to be a second pressure P2, which is lower than the first pressure P1, and estimates the load exerted on each tire, on the basis of the amount of air flowing out of each tire, when the tire pressure is changed from the first pressure P1 to the second pressure P2.
