A green case 11, which is equipped with a cylindrical carcass band 12, the side wall 16 positioned on the inner periphery side thereof and a bead core 13, is molded on a tire molding drum and the central part of the green case 11 is expanded radially to be press-bonded to the inner peripheral surface of the belt tread band 18, which mainly comprises a belt 20 and a tread 19, preliminary located and arranged on the outer periphery side of the green case. The side part of the carcass band 12 and the side wall 16 are rewound around the head core 13 to locate the rewinding end of the carcass band 12 inside the radial direction of the outer peripheral end of the side wall 16 outside the radial direction of the inner peripheral end of the tread 19.
