To provide a tire 2 for a motorcycle which is excellent in traction performance and turning performance.

This tire 2 is equipped with a tread 4 consisting of a bridged rubber composition. The tread 4 is equipped with a cap layer 18 of which the external surface forms the tread surface 22, and a base layer which is located on the internal side in the radial direction of the cap layer 18. The hardness (durometer A hardness) which is measured under the condition of a temperature of 100°C is from 35 to 45. The hardness (durometer A hardness) which is measured under the condition of a temperature of 100°C is from 55 to 65. The base layer 20 is equipped with a center section 24 and a pair of side sections 26 which are located on both sides of the center section 24 across a boundary. The thickness of the side section 26 is constituted to become thicker than the thickness of the center section 24.
