To provide a tire mounter preventing damage to a tire by minimizing the contact of a tire bead section to a wheel.

This tire mounter receives the wheel H with the tire T temporarily fixed slantingly, and mounts this tire to the wheel from a temporarily fixed state. It is provided with a bead guide plate 600 formed of an arc plate piece 610, which has its bottom face side positioned on the upper face side of the wheel H while having its peripheral arc section 611 positioned on the peripheral face of the wheel H. When the tire is mounted, the bead guide plate 600 is placed in the vicinity of the bead section on the non-mounted side of the tire T, and rotated in synchronization with the rotation of a tire bead pressing roller 400 so as to be traveled precedingly. Then, the bead section on the non-mounted side of the tire T is mounted to the wheel H slidingly on the surface side of the bead guide plate 600. That reduces contact loads at the time of mounting to a large extent, and minimizes the damage to the tire.
