Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a low cost tire mounting and removing machine, which prevents a wheel itself from being damaged in removing a tire, has a simplified wheel fixing unit, shortens working time and can handle wheels of any width and diameter with ease.

CONSTITUTION: This tire mounting removing device includes a stationary base and a hollow support body 3, which is firmly connected to this base and is provided with a support flange 6 for supporting wheels of an automobile. A hollow fixed shaft 10 is extended to the interior of the base and is protruded from the support body 3 perpendicular to the flange 6. A cone 12 for centering and fixing wheels is fixed to the fixed shaft 10 outside the flange 6. A traction pin 16 is rotatably contained in the shaft 10 and is extended beyond the centering cone 12 and is terminated at a traction head 17. A tool holding bar 18 provided with a tool 21 to remove a tire is at least temporarily connected to the traction head 17.
