Title:
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2018016185
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) capable of detecting mounting and non-mounting of a burden, and setting recommended tire pressure corresponding to the mounting state.SOLUTION: The TPMS detects mounting and non-mounting of a burden based on a vehicle height measurement value by a vehicle height sensor, then sets recommended tire pressure based on the mounting or non-mounting. The TPMS confirms not only change of the vehicle height but also change of the tire pressure, thereby determining whether the change of the vehicle height is because of mounting of a burden or change of the tire pressure. Therefore, the recommended tire pressure can be properly set according to mounting or non-mounting of the burden. In addition, based on the recommended tire pressure set, a lower limit threshold and a range of a proper pressure used for detection of reduction of tire pressure, can be set properly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
