Abstract:
To provide a method for easily determining the thickness of a tire from a tire cross-sectional image.SOLUTION: A tire thickness measurement method of an embodiment measures the thickness of a tire from a tire cross-sectional image, and the tire thickness measurement method includes the steps of: specifying, in the tire cross-sectional image, an outside reference point included in an outside contour line representing a tire outer face and an inside reference point included in an inside contour line representing a tire inner face, and determining an inter-reference point distance that is the distance between the outside reference point and the inside reference point; and converting the inter-reference point distance into the thickness of the tire.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
