Abstract:

To provide a pneumatic tire having an outer peripheral tread excellent in tractive force, tread abrasion resistance and rolling resistance.

This pneumatic tire has a tread comprising a rubber composition composed of (1) about 5-50 pts.wt. of a 3,4-polyisoprene rubber having (a) 75-95% 3,4-isomer content, (b) 5-25% 1,2-isomer content, (c) 0-25°C glass transition temperature and (d) 30,000-180,000 number average molecular weight and (2) about 50-95 pts.wt. of at least one rubber-like polymer simultaneously curable with the 3,4-polyisoprene rubber based on 100 pts.wt. of the rubbers.
