Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the high quality picture by providing a space filter correcting the response characteristic of reading signals in the sub-scanning direction of each line sensor on at least one or more output signals of each line sensor.
CONSTITUTION: A monolithic three sign sensor (CCD)34 is used as a light receiving element, and a picture is read by separating the reflection light from an original by the optical system with a one-dimensional phrased diffraction lattice 35 in an image forming light path. Here, a space filter 505 correcting the response characteristic of the reading signal in the sub-scanning direction of each line sensor is provided on at least one or more output signals of each line sensor of the monolithic three line sensor 34. Thus, accurate color reading is enabled, and the erroneous discrimination in a thinning line end part in case of color pattern processing can be prevented, providing high-quality picture.
