The thin sheet for a stencil printing base sheet comprises a structure in which fine fibers are branched or separated from main body fibers in such a manner that the main body fibers and the fine fibers respectively have thicknesses of 0.1 to 500 m and a length of 10 μm or more at random and are constituted by flocked fibers of a shape bent at random and irregularly. The flocked fiber is a fiber made of an acrylonitrile polymer.
