Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a dental photo-curing composition, comprising an olefinic unsaturated monomer and a catalyst containing a specific titanate initiator, capable of forming a product of a high strength, having a quick curing time and good in operating efficiency before the curing. CONSTITUTION: This photo-curing composition comprises at least one kind of an olefinic unsaturated monomer, preferably an acrylic or a methacrylic ester and a catalyst containing a compound of formula I [M is Ti; R1 is cyclopentadienyl which may be substituted with a 1-6C alkyl or indenyl; R2 and R3 are each same and are the phenyl in which at least one of two o- positions with respect to a metal-C bond is substituted with F, or together form a group represented by formula II (Q is phenylene; Y is methylene, ethylidene, propylidene, a direct bond, O or S)], e.g. bis-pentafluoroophenyl-bis- cyclopentadienyl titanate.
