Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a titanium alloy excellent in corrosion resistance and having superior mechanical properties by incorporating specific percentages of Ni and Rh to Ti.
CONSTITUTION: A titanium alloy having a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.01-0.5% Ni, 0.005-0.05% Rh, and the balance titanium with inevitable impurities is prepared. By this method, the titanium alloy showing extremely superior corrosion resistance and also excellent in mechanical properties can be obtained. This alloy can be widely used also in the industrial field.
