Abstract:
To provide a titanium alloy production method allowing easy control of the amount of oxygen contained in a titanium alloy.SOLUTION: A titanium alloy production method at least comprises: a mixing step of obtaining a mixed powder by mixing a titanium powder, whose main component is titanium (Ti), and a Va group powder, whose main component is vanadium-group elements; a solidification step of obtaining a solidified body by heating and solid phase diffusion bonding of the mixed powder mixed in the mixing step; and a melting step of heating and melting the solidified body to generate a titanium alloy. In the solidification step, the solid phase diffusion bonding of the mixed powder is performed by heating and compression. In the melting step, the solidified body is melted by the vacuum arc remelting or cold crucible induction melting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
