To provide a titanium-based brazing filler metal which is used for the manufacture of aerospace instruments, medical instruments, eyeglass frames, titanium heat exchangers, etc. with excellent brazing materialized by using a mixture of an alloy powder of prescribed composition containing Zr and a powder of Ti or an alloy powder containing Ti and by mixing these powders at a prescribed ratio.
The invention relates to the titanium-based brazing filler metal produced by mixing the alloy powder consisting of 30-90% by mass of either of Cu or Ni or both and the balance being Zr and unavoidable impurities and the powder consisting of 0-50% by mass of either of Cu or Ni or both and the balance being Ti and unavoidable impurities, at a ratio by weight of 8:2 to 4:6.
