Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, by targeting a titanium oxide electrode for a dye-sensitized solar cell, a titanium oxide electrode capable of inducing a saturated adsorption of a dye within a brief time of the order of several hours.SOLUTION: A titanium oxide powder having a high dye adsorption capacity is manufactured by a flow including a vaporizing step P1 of vaporizing a diol 1 and a titanium alkoxide 2, a precursor generation step P2 of generating a titanium oxide precursor 35 by reacting, in the vapor phase, the vaporized diol 13 and titanium alkoxide 24, and a heat treatment step P3 of obtaining an anatase-type titanium oxide 50 by heat-treating the generated titanium oxide precursor 35. A titanium oxide electrode having a high dye adsorption capacity is obtained past a step of adding, mixing, and dispersing, to, with, and within the obtained titanium oxide 50, various solvents/additives, a process for forming an electrode by printing the obtained titanium oxide-dispersed ink, and a process for heat-treating the formed electrode.
