PURPOSE: To improve operabiliy of a vehicle at deceleration by quickly dealing with a requirement of deceleration of a driver.
CONSTITUTION: The drive force (TGT-FCE) for realizing target acceleration is searched (S6), and in the case of intention of deceleration (S7), a conclusive solution (TGT-TVO1) at fuel cut (S11) and a conclusive solution (TGT--TVO2) at fuel supply (S15) in a prescribed shift step (set at S8) so as to obtain TGT- FCE are searched for. When the conclusive solution is obtained at fuel cut, fuel is cut, shifting is set on the prescribed shift step, and an throttle opening is adjusted to TGT-TVO1 through an actuator (S22). Meanwhile, when the conclusive solution is not obtained at fuel cut but at fuel supply, fuel is not cut, shifting is set on the prescribed shift step, and the throttle opening is adjusted to TGT-TVO2 (S23). When the conclusive solution is not obtained at fuel cut and supply, the shift step is set on the low speed side (S21), and the above computation is repeated. In this way, because the throttle opening and the shift step are simultaneously set to the target values, the target acceleration can be quickly settled.
