Abstract:
6-Phenylpyridyl-2-amine derivatives of formula (I) and their salts are new. R1, R2 = 1-6C alkyl, tetrahydronaphthalene or arylalkyl, where alkyl, tetrahydronaphthalene and aryl part of aralkyl are optionally substituted with 1-3 halo, NO2, OH, CN, NH2, 1-4C alkoxy or 1-4C alkylamino; or NR1R2 = piperazine, piperidine, or pyrrolidine each substituted with 1 or more Q, or an azabicyclic ring containing 6-14 ring members, 1-3 of which are N and the rest C; Q = 1-6C alkyl, NH2, 1-6C alkylamino, di(1-6C alkyl)amino, Ph substituted 5 or 6-membered heterocyclic rings containing 1-4 N, benzoyl, benzoylmethyl, benzylcarbonyl, phenylaminocarbonyl, phenylethyl or phenoxycarbonyl; where phenyl moieties are optionally substituted with 1 or more halo, 1-3C alkyl, 1-3C alkoxy, NO2, NH2, CN, CF3 or OCF3; n, m = 0-2; R8, R9 = 1-4C alkyl, aryl(1-4C alkyl), allyl or phenallyl; X, Y = Me, methoxy, OH or H; R10 = 1-6C alkyl; aryl = Ph or naphthyl; provided that R8 is absent when n=0, and R9 is absent when m=0.
