Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in tack performance at severe low temperatures, thus suitable for adhesive tapes for frozen foods, tags for baggages, etc., by incorporating a specific (meth)acrylic copolymer with a specified amount of a polyfunctional group-contg. organic (organometallic) compound as crosslinking agent. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polymer (pref. 400000-800000 in weightaverage molecular weight) produced by copolymerization between (1) 99. 9-95 wt.% of a 4-12C alkyl group-carrying (meth)acrylic alkyl ester (pref. 2-ethylhexyl acrylate) and (2) 0.1-5wt.% of a monoester (pref. hydroxyethyl acrylate) of hydroxyethyl (meth)acrylate and a dicarboxylic acid with (B) 0.001-5 pts.wt. of a polyfunctional group-carrying organic (organometallic) compound (e.g. epoxy resin) as crosslinking agent.
