PURPOSE: To reduce the intake noise which leaks outside through an air cleaner by installing a sound absorbing member onto the inner wall surface of a cover part opposed to an air cleaner element.
CONSTITUTION: An air cleaner 8' is constituted of a body part 9 having an opened-port part 10 on the upper surface, air cleaner element 11 installed onto the opened-port part 10, and a cover part 13 covering the opened-port part 10. Said cover part 13 has a rectangular frame part 13a fitted onto the body part 9, and the upper wall part 13b bulged upwardly is formed nearly in parallel to the air cleaner element 11, and an air introducing port 15 is formed on the side surface. A sound absorbing member 16 is installed on the inner surface of the upper wall part 13b by a porous metal plate 17.
