Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a dramatic change in room temperature when automatically switched over from cooling mode to heating mode and vice versa. CONSTITUTION:There are provided an operation control device 17 which controls the operation of an air conditioner under the control of the capacity of a compressor based on a setting temperature set with a room temperature setting apparatus 14 and a room temperature detected with a room temperature detector 15 and a temperature setting apparatus 18 which sets a specified temperature for the setting temperature in the operation control device 17 and a counter 21 which counts the number of halts of the compressor 6 after having switched over from heating mode to cooling mode and vice versa. Furthermore, the operation control device 17 controls both cooling and heating operations in automatic mode. At the same time when the operations are switched over from heating mode to cooling mode under the automatic operation control of cooling and heating, the setting room temperature is increased by a definite value until the number of compressor shutdowns reaches a specified value. When the operations are switched over from cooling mode to heating mode, the setting room temperature is lowered by a definite value until the compressor stop number reaches a specified value.
