Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a color toner excellent in color reproducibility and also excellent in anti-offsetting property, winding resistance and fixability even in the case of oil-less fixation by mixing an emulsified polyester dispersion with an emulsion of a releasing agent, forming releasing agent-contg. resin particles and dyeing them with a dye.

CONSTITUTION: An emulsified polyester dispersion is mixed with an emulsion of a releasing agent and releasing agent-contg. resin particles are formed and dyed with a dye to obtain the objective oil-less color toner. Any of satd. and unsatd. polyester resins may be used as the polyester resin but satd. polyester resin consisting of dicarboxylic acid and glycol is preferably used. The dye is preferably an oil-soluble solvent, disperse or vat dye and the pref. content of the dye is 0.2-15.0wt.% of the amt. of the resin.
