PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to secure a satisfactory and optimal air cleaning performance which can always a correspond to a contamination condition by providing a dedicated control sequence to cope with an air contamination state and a contamination classification, detecting an actual air contamination state and a contamination classification, and alarming a user about the necessity to drive an air cleaning machine by an appropriate control sequence. SOLUTION: This are cleaning machine is equipped with a sensor to detect the contamination state of an indoor air, and a control means with control sequences in a cigarette mode, a pollen mode and other modes. If the contamination state of the indoor air detected by the sensor is attributed to cigarette, the control sequence in the cigarette mode is selected. If the contamination state is attributed to pollen, the control sequence in the pollen mode is selected, and when the contamination state is attributed to any other pollutant, the control sequence in the other pollutant mode is selected. The user is alarmed by an alarm means about the necessity to select between these sequences depending on occasion.
