Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the subject paste-state alkaline composition for surface treatment useful for surface treatment of dental materials, excellent in storage stability and ready to handle by using an aqueous alkaline solution, a polymer particle and a hydrophilic organic solvent as the main components. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous alkaline solution, a polymer particle and a hydrophilic organic solvent are used as the main components. As the alkali constituting the alkaline solution, LiOH, NaOH, KOH, etc., are used and NaOH and KOH are especially preferable from the view point of ready handling. The above-mentioned aqueous alkaline solution preferably contains the above- mentioned alkali in an amount of 1-40wt.%, especially 15-30wt.%. As the polymer particle, one having a structure free from hydrolysis by an alkali, preferably polyethylene, polypropylene, etc., are preferably used.
