Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow the exact assignment of one point on a contour line having a width by providing an assignment point converter which converts the assignment point to the point on the boundary of the contour line of graphics in accordance with the graphic data in a memory device when the assignment to indicate the boundary is made from a mode assigning device and applies this point to a layout instruction input device. CONSTITUTION:A mode to indicate a center and a mode to indicate the boundary are selected by the mode assigning device 8. The inputted assignment point is handled as the point to indicate the point on the center line of the contour line of the graphics in the same manner as with the conventional devices if the mode to indicate the center is selected. The inputted assignment point is converted to the point on the contour line on the boundary of the contour line of the graphics by the assignment point converter 11 and is applied to the layout instruction input device 2 when the mode to indicate the boundary line is selected. An operator is able to exactly assign the one point on the contour line having the width by executing the assignment point input with the mode indicating the boundary in such a manner.
