PURPOSE: To prevent the duplicate feeding where the loaded papers more than the prescribed value are not duplicately fed and prevent the generation of unexpected troubles in a paper feeding device which feeds the loaded papers while regulating the feeding amount of one-by-one or a constant plural number of paper by a regulating member.
CONSTITUTION: A carrying body 20 is constituted b stretching a carrying belt 14 between pulleys 15, 16, and a pressing body 27 to press the loaded papers from the top is provided on the forward side of the carrying body 20. A friction member 22 of the friction coefficient which is smaller than that of a part 14a in contact with the paper P of the carrying belt 14, and larger than that of the loaded paper P is provided on the rear surface of a pressing lower plate 27 b of the pressing body 27. When the rest of the loaded papers P becomes small in feeding the paper, the friction resistance between the highest paper and the friction member 22 is larger than that between the papers P, and the slipping is generated between the papers P before the slipping is generated between the highest paper and the friction member 22, preventing the rest of the papers P from being fed altogether.
