PURPOSE: To obtain a container such as a flower pot, a cover for a flower pot, etc. wherein the bottom plate is firmly and readily attached to the cylinder even if the container has an irregular cross section, by attaching a temporary bottom plate to one inner end of a cylinder, casting a synthetic resin to form a bottom plate, and then removing the temporary bottom plate.

CONSTITUTION: For instance, a plate 2 comprising a synthetic resin decorative plate attached to the wood surface is secured to one surface of a belt-shaped sheet 3 of PVC or the like, the ends of the plate 2 are secured together to form a cylinder 1 with the sheet 3 inside, and a temporary bottom plate 4 of PS foam or the like is fitted to the one inner end of the cylinder. A separating sheet 5 such as a PE film or the like has been put on the inner side of the temporary plate 4. A synthetic resin such as an epoxy resin is poured thereto followed by curing to form a bottom plate 6 for the cylinder 1. Thereafter the separating sheet 5 is pulled to separate the temporary plate 4 from the cylinder 1 to produce the intended container.
