Abstract:

PURPOSE: To ensure the stable traveling of a magnetic tape, by providing a cylindrical rotor part which revolves relatively and freely to a main shaft, and a cylindrical non-revolving part which has no relative revolutions to the main shaft.

CONSTITUTION: A non-revolving matter 7 is provided together with a limiter 2' which controls the tape traveling in its width direction. These limiter 2' and the matter 7 have no relative motion including revolutions to a main shaft 5. While a rotor 8 can revolve freely to the shaft 5. The flange length (a) of the limiter 2' is at least larger than the tape thickness, and the space (l) between upper and lower limiters is set larher than the tape width with about ≤100μ clearance secured.
