Abstract:
PURPOSE: To develop a method of manufacturing effectively a composite optical element characterized by a larger aspherical surface, a negligible residual stress on a substrate glass due to curing shrinkage and high shape accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: A composite optical element characterized by aspherical resin layers 8 and 9 consisting of a thermopolymerization resin such as an epoxy resin on both sides of a spherical substrate glass lens 6. A thermopolymerization resin composition is filled in clearances between a mold and a spherical substrate glass lens 6, thermopolymerized and cured to form aspherical resin layers 8 and 9 simultaneously.
