PURPOSE: To improve yield and productivity for a tape by feeding an extremely thin tape between an upper side round cutter and a lower side round cutter to cut both edge sections, and pulling down and eliminating both cut edge members forcibly by the air suction force of an air nozzle so as to remove both cut edge sections smoothly and stably as holding their long sizes.

CONSTITUTION: Both edge sections 4, 4' of an extremely thin tape 3, which is fed between an upper side round cutter 1 and a lower side round cutter 2 and cut, are pulled down and removed forcibly without any excessive tension by the air suction force of an air nozzle 6 installed on the outlet side of an extremely thin slit product 5. In this way, both edge sections 4, 4' can be removed as being held in long sizes smoothly and stably without tearing in the middle of them, while the extremely thin slit product being 5 not torn and being not wound up between the round cutters 1, 2. Therefore, the width of both edge sections to be cut 4, 4' is set to be as narrow as the minimum without any hindrance.
