Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the thermoplastic elastomer composition excellent in pliability, resistance to compression set, mechanical property, heat resistance, and weatherability by incorporating a given amount of a specific compound into a blend of a thermoplastic polyester elastomer and a crosslinkable rubber to crosslink the rubber.
CONSTITUTION: 0.1-10 pts.wt. nickel dithiocarbamate represented by the formula (wherein R1 and R2 each is a 1-10C alkyl) is incorporated into 100 pts.wt. blend of 50-95wt.% thermoplastic polyester elastomer (e.g. PIBIFLEX 46M, manufactured by Enichem Polimeri) and 50-5wt.% crosslinkable rubber (e.g. acrylonitrile/ butadiene rubber) to crosslink the rubber.
