PURPOSE: To improve matching with a thermal head, by a method wherein particulates of a polydimethylsiloxane compound coated with an organotitanium compound by a coupling reaction are incorporated into a thermal recording layer.
CONSTITUTION: The thermal recording sheet comprises a thermal recording layer provided on a base consisting of a peper, a synthetic paper or a polymer film. The thermal recording layer comprises mainly a pigment, a colorless or light- colored dye precursor, a color developer and a binder, and optionally compries a sensitizer, a dispersing agent or the like. An image is formed by heating the surface of the thermal recording layer by a thermal head or the like to melt a heat-fusible component in the layer or cause a reaction. The matching with the head is improved by adding to the thermal recording layer a powder consisting of particulates of polydimethylsiloxane coated with an organotitanium compound by a coupling reaction.
