Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable automatic transactions suitable for automatic operation with less paper consumption, by providing a controlling part for controlling the operation of a recording part, recording transaction information on a transaction in an electronic journal, and recording partial information on a journal paper. CONSTITUTION:A card 8 inserted through a card-inserting port 7 by a customer for transaction is fed to a reading and writing part 1, which reads required data, then the card is fed to an imprinting part 21, and is made to stand-by in the state of facing journal paper 25. When transaction is made through communication between the customer and the device, a roller 24 in the imprinting part 21 is reciprocated in the directions of arrows to press the card 8 against the journal paper 25, thereby transferring an embossed pattern on the card to the journal paper. Simultaneously, partial information under necessary minimum items in transaction information is printed by a printing head 23. The minimum items may be, for example, transaction number, account number, date and transaction amount in a set, or only the transaction number. After the journal paper is printed and imprinted, only a one-transaction amount of the paper is taken up around a take-up roller 22, and the next transaction is waited.
