Abstract:
The invention relates to a snowboard binding with a binding element (1) to be attached to the snowboard, to which a snowboard or ski boot (3) can be positively locked and which is provided with two lateral cheeks (5) at a mutual distance corresponding to the width of the sole (6) and at a right angle to the surface of the snowboard. Each cheek (5) contains at least one protruding locking element (10), preferably a pin, which can be displaced almost parallel at least to the surface of the snowboard against an energy storing device (15) and which passes through an opening (11) of the side facing the other cheek and engages into an opening (23) or recess of the boot (3) or grips over a ridge of the boot (3).
