Abstract:
PURPOSE:To output a correct translation word even when a language A and a language B are mixed as input by providing a language A recognition means, a language B recognition means, a language decision means, a translation means, and a switching means. CONSTITUTION:When the language A (for example, Japanese language) in which the language B (for example, English) is mixed is inputted, the language A recognition means 11 finds the evaluation value of reasonability in case of recognizing the input as the Japanese language, that is, likelihood, and converts it to a character string convenient for conversion to English. The character string is translated to the language B at the translation means 14. Meanwhile, the language B recognition means 12 finds the evaluation value in case of recognizing the input as the language B. The language decision means 13 decides an inputted language by comparing both evaluation values. When the input is decided as the language A, the output signal of the means 14 is outputted as translation output via the switching means 15. Also, when it is decided as the language B, the input is outputted as it is via the means 15. Therefore, even when English is mixed, the input of the Japanese language can be translated and outputted as a correct English without designating it as an error.
