PURPOSE: To evenly distribute the exhaust gas which, relating to an incinerator with a boiler as an adjunct thereto, flows through a set of heat-transfer tubes of the boiler set in the flue for the exhaust gas from the incinerator.
CONSTITUTION: In an incinerator in whose flue 17 for the exhaust gas 25 a set of heat-transfer tubes 18 for a boiler as an adjunct to the incinerator are set, there is provided an exhaust gas flow-directing means 31 at a bent part 16 in the flue 17 formed upstream from the heat-transfer tubes 18. This exhaust gas flow-directing means 31 distributes the exhaust gas 25 appropriately at the inlet to the flue 17 and prevents the exhaust gas 25 from flowing back at a region on the side of a partition wall 23 in the flue 17. As a result, the flow-rate of the exhaust gas 25 is leveled out at the inlet to the set of heat- transfer tubes 18 and the tube surfaces in the set 18 are kept from being locally heated to an especially high temperature. Therefore, high-temperature corrosion damaging the heat-transfer tubes 18 can be prevented.
