PURPOSE: To prevent a trouble such as meandering etc., generated in time of cutting of an ear part by a cutter stand without requiring installation of an ear scrap pit by controlling the tension of the ear part and to cut a belt-like metallic sheet with high precision.
CONSTITUTION: The ear scraps on both side ends of the belt-like metallic sheet cut by the cutter stand 3 are taken up. The cut ear scraps are wound between two take-up machines 7 driven by each of independent motors 8a, 8b and the cutter stand 3 and an elevating roll 9 which can elevate in the gravitational direction is provided. The vertical position of the elevating roll 9 is detected by a sensor set at an upper part of the elevating roll 9, the take-up speed of the take-up machine 7 is adjusted in accordance with the detected value and the take-up tension by the take-up machine on both side ends of the belt-like metallic sheet is controlled equally.
