Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the title lightweight, flexible ground fabric suitable for air bags, having small storage volume and excellent mechanical characteristics by using a specific polytetramethylene adipamide yarn as warp and weft of ground fabric. CONSTITUTION:Polytetramethylene adipamide yarn which comprises a polytetramethylene adipamide fiber composed of >=90mol% polytetramethylene adipamide unit, containing preferably 2-7mol% copolymer component, having >=3.5 relative viscosity in sulfuric acid and a high polymerization degree and has >=8.5g/d strength, >=15% elongation, <=5% shrinkage percentage in boiling water and preferably 150-1,000 denier is used as warp and/or weft of ground fabric to give the objective yarn suitable for noncoated air bags.
