Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the throughput in assembling optical devices.

CONSTITUTION: In the position alignment of a light emitting device 1 and a light receiving device 2, which is optically coupled with the light emitting device 1, the light emitting device l is moved to a detection starting point and each point of X1-Xm, and X1-Xn on the X axis, which is the optical axis. Then, the position of the maximum amount of light on a YZ plane P is detected. The maximum value is made to be the result of the measurement at each X coordinate, and the measurement is repeated. After the completion of the measurement, the results are compared, the maximum position is detected and the optical coupling position is corrected.
