Title:
COOLING DEVICE FOR WATER-COOLED ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS588221
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve efficiency in cooling water by means of a cooling fan as well as to obviate engine overheating without fail in time of low speed running, by controlling the flow of cooling water flowing into a portion of radiator cooling pipes where there is no cooling fan. CONSTITUTION:Cooling water, which flows from an inflow port 12 provided at one end side of the first tank 11 to the inside of this tank 11, enters a radiator 15 gradually in running together while flowing from the inflow port 12 to the other end side via a cooling water passage 11 of the first tank 11. In this case, the flow of cooling water is limited to a portion where a cooling fan 2 is unloaded, by dint of a flow pressure valve 17 serving as a flow distributing device provided in the within of the cooling water passage 11. According to this flow pressure valve 17, most of cooling water quantities flow into a portion of the radiating pipe 15 where the cooling fan 2 is located in place in time of low speed running so that cooling action is improvable.
