Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a content without decoding an original image by discriminating the presence of a correct camera work. SOLUTION: A shot unit classification section 21 classifies a data stream into shots for a consecutive image pickup blocks of the same camera in the unit 22 based on a DCT coefficient being an output of an inverse quantization processing section 62, a coding information analysis section 23 extracts an inter-frame prediction coding image data stream 24 in the unit 22. Then a coding information extract section 25 calculates a motion vector set 26 and the DCT coefficient 27 as coding information from the data string 24. Then a characteristic amount calculation section 28 calculates a motion vector characteristic amount 29 based on the set 26 and the coefficient 27 and a noise discrimination section 39 discriminates whether or not the data are noise vector not reflected on the camera work. Then when the vector is a noise vector, it is processed as a null vector, and when not, the vector is discriminated to be a camera work motion vector and a corrected motion vector 31, a camera work calculation section 32 calculates work information 33 from the vector 31 and the unit 22 and the information 33 are displayed via a reproduction display section 27.
