PURPOSE: To perform positioning and joining of two members without generating spatter by forming projections on the joining face of one member and forming concavites on another member, and fitting the projections to concavities to make the contact an electric resistance.

CONSTITUTION: A gear 11 and a fly weight holder 12 are exactly positioned by fitting projections 11a of the gear 11 and concavities 12a of the holder 12. At the same time, the contacts between the projections 11a and concavities 12a forms electric resistance, and annular spaces 13 are formed at fitted parts of the projections 11a and concavities 12a. Exactly positioned gear 11 and holder 12 are held between an upper electrode 14 and a lower electrode 15, pressed, and power is supplied to the upper and lower electrodes 14, 15. The contact part is heated and attains melting point of the sintered alloy, and the two members are joined.
