Title:
【発明の名称】旅客機用カプセル射出システム
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003519593
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
Nowadays, travelling by airplanes has been well established, and air accident rate is on the whole very low. However, as the number of air flights increases, accidents with the fatality of more than one hundred people have occurred. With the occurrence of such accidents, it poses fear to tens of thousands of air travellers that catastrophe may fall upon them in any flight. Two hundred and thirty people died on August 20, 1997 aboard Transworld Airline Flight 800, and two hundred and ninety people perished on Swiss Airline Flight 111 on September 20, 1998, while two hundred and seventeen people died in the air disaster on Egypt Airline Flight 990 on October 31, 1999. These accidents occurred prior to my invention because the airplanes failed to provide the appropriate means for saving the lives of the travellers in these accidents. Soft pillows, woolen blankets, oxygen masks, seat belts and floatation jackets did not save any life in these accidents. The crux of this invention is to provide means for blasting the airplane body apart in an accident so as to enable separate passengers cabin sections to break away automatically from the airplane. The break away passengers cabin sections will formed independent sealed units similar to unhitched train carts passing through a tunnel so as to protect the passengers who may remain sitting in each cabin. With such safety provision, the lives of the passengers of the Transworld, Swiss, and Egypt Airlines accidents would have been saved; also, the fear of billion of air travel passengers would be dispelled.
