Abstract:
PURPOSE: To smooth the back of a carpet by equalizing intervals of grounding projections of loop yarn in each warp group without causing roughness and fineness and eliminating bulk caused by unevenness of the ground projections. CONSTITUTION: In a carpet in which a yarn feeder of a warp group including loop yarn is controlled by a jacquard weaving machine, etc., loops are formed by loop yarns without using a wire, plural loop yarns 3a and 3b are arranged along a core warp 4 in each warp group A, an over shed and an under shed are controlled so as to form at least one grounding projection 3" of loop yarn in each warp group in one weave texture into which weft B is inserted. Consequently, intervals of grounding projections formed on a face to be the back of the carpet are equalized without causing roughness and fineness.
