PURPOSE: To provide a display device of an electronic equipment in which an operability failure is made not to be generated by displaying an elapsed time on a necessary constant time display screen (information) selected and displayed on a display.
CONSTITUTION: When a necessary command signal is inputted to a CPU2 by the operating of an operation part 6, the CPU2 sends display instructing signals to an OSD7 according to respective functions of a tape player part 3, a CD player part 4 and a radio receiver part 5, etc., connected with the CPU2 and then the OSD7 transmits contents of signal based on signals and an image is displayed on a display part 8. Moreover, a display part indicating the elapse of a constant time is included in the selected and display image and when an operator performs an operatior of some kind by the display part, this display part shows the elapsed time clearly to the operation and also is effective as the measure of the operation. Further, the image is cleared after the lapse of a constant time to be returned to an original fundamental screen.
