Abstract:
Proposed is a box (1) for a carpenter's rule (2), the box being essentially parallelepipedal in shape with an open top end. Its inside dimensions correspond to those of the folded rule (2) and the length of the box (1) is somewhat less than the length of the folded rule (2). Fitted to one side of the box (1) is a downwards-pointing spring clip (4), the force of the clip acting in towards the box (1). Attached to one side of the box (1) is at least one pencil-holder (7) consisting of one or more loops (8) spaced one above the other in the longitudinal direction, the loops (8) resting tightly against the pencil (9), or a gripping device being fitted into which the pencil can be inserted.
