PURPOSE: To provide an excellent game device being capable of a game play which raises the degree of excitement and abounds in a rhythmic sense by constituting the device so that active feelings can be expressed.

CONSTITUTION: In an operating part 4 of the game device for executing a basket game, bongo pads 11R, 11L and 11S are provided as operation input means. When a player hits the pads 11R, 11L and 11S, a sound generating circuit generates a prescribed sound irrespective of the contents of a game, therefore, even in the case it is unnecessary for the contents of the game, the player can execute a feeling expression by a sound by hitting the pads 11R, 11L and 11S instead of a musical instrument. The sound is generated at musical intervals being different at every pad 11R, 11L and 11S, and also, by the sound volume corresponding to stress of the hit. Also, the pads 11R, 11L and 11S consist of a structure formed by sticking a film to a frame of a prescribed shape, and moreover, the sound is a sound of a percussion instrument having a diaphragm, therefore, the player can obtain such an operation sense as an actual percussion instrument.
