PURPOSE: To simplify operation and to prevent erroneous operation by changing over an analog switch on the basis of the operation state of a playback operation button.

CONSTITUTION: For the reproduction of the 1st cassette tape loaded at the 1st loading part 12a, a high-level signal appears at the reset output of an FF24 to activate an analog switch 23b. A playback button 13b, however, is not pressed so the 2nd cassette tape is not driven. When a playback button 13a pressed, the FF24 is set to make the analog switch 23b inactive, and also an analog switch 23a is made active. Through the operation of the playback operation button 13a, a cassette tape driving mechanism 21a drives the 1st cassette tape and a magnetic head 151 reproduces the tape to send its playback signal to an external output terminal 19 and the power amplifier 17 of a speaker 18 through an amplifier 152, an analog switch 23a, and an amplifier 16. Therefore, the operation is simplified and erroneous operation is prevented.
